Matrix Associates are key members of our transaction teams, responsible for many aspects of each engagement. Our Associates are responsible for the production of marketing presentations, Confidential Information Memoranda, as well as management of the support activities conducted by Analysts and Analyst Interns. This includes financial modeling, valuation analysis, and industry and company research. Associates support and work closely with senior investment banking professionals in developing business prospects and executing transactions. Matrix Associates are expected to quickly assume key roles on transaction teams and are intimately involved in Matrix's business development initiatives.
Ideal Associate candidates should have prior investment banking experience at an Analyst or Associate level with a respected investment bank or financial services firm and an MBA from a top business school.

Analyst
Analysts at Matrix play a critical role in providing the highest level of client service. Analysts' duties include conducting thorough research of businesses, financial statements and various industries. Analysts are also responsible for developing detailed financial models and valuation analyses. Matrix differs from other investment banks in that top quality Analysts are given the opportunity for promotion to an Associate position, normally in conjunction with alternative forms of continuing education, such as the CFA and executive MBA programs.
Candidates must have an undergraduate degree from a top-rated university. Preference is given to candidates possessing a degree in business administration with concentrations in finance or accounting. Exceptional candidates should have prior experience as an analyst from a reputable investment-bank or financial services firm.
