R. H. "Tod" Butler, Jr.
Mr. Butler is a member of the Petroleum Marketing, Restaurant, and Hospitality Industry Team and is responsible for assisting the managing director in all aspects of transaction management. Having recently served as an acquisition advisor with Petroleum Realty Investment Partners, L.P. and as the Mid-Continent Regional Director of Real Estate for Getty Realty Corporation, Mr. Butler brings 36 years of petroleum marketing experience to Matrix. Prior to joining Matrix, Mr. Butler worked with Convenience Store Marketer, where he served as president and CEO and Mid-States Petroleum, Inc., a large Mid-West distributor of wholesale petroleum products. He's a former president and chairman of the executive committee for the Society of Independent Gasoline Marketers of America and a member of the prestigious 25 Year Club of The Petroleum Industry. Mr. Butler has a Bachelors of Science in Accounting from Ferris State.

Spencer P. Cavalier, CFA, ASA
Mr. Cavalier is a member of the Energy & Multi-Site Retail Team. He is responsible for assisting and co-managing all aspects of transactions including preparing selling memoranda and providing valuation and corporate finance expertise. Prior to joining Matrix, he was a senior valuation consultant with Ellin & Tucker, Chartered, a nationally recognized business valuation, consulting, and accounting firm. Mr. Cavalier has valued companies operating in many industries, including technology, manufacturing, retail, petroleum, distribution and health care. Previously, he was a commercial banking officer with NationsBank (now Bank of America), where he gained senior lending experience. Mr. Cavalier's consulting and banking background provides significant experience for working with middle market companies at all stages of maturity. As a holder of the Chartered Financial Analyst designation, he is a member of the CFA Institute. He is also recognized as an Accredited Senior Appraiser by the American Society of Appraisers. Mr. Cavalier holds a B.S. degree from West Virginia University and an M.B.A. from Baylor University and is qualified as a Series 7 FINRA General Securities Representative. Mr. Cavalier is a Member of the Board of Visitors for University of Maryland's Hospital for Children.

Cedric C. Fortemps, CFA
Mr. Fortemps is a member of the Energy & Multi-Site Retail Team and is responsible for overseeing and performing financial analysis, financial modeling, industry research, buyer research, preparation of the offering memorandum for sell-side engagements and financing engagements, company analysis and preparation of valuations. Mr. Fortemps has helped advise companies in many industries, including manufacturing, distribution, technology, consumer services, business services and has specific expertise in multi-site retail advisory and valuation work. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is a member of the CFA Institute, and is qualified as a Series 7 and Series 63 FINRA General Securities Representative. Mr. Fortemps graduated cum laude with a B.S.B.A. with a concentration in Finance from the University of Richmond and serves on the Advisory Board for University's Student Managed Investment Fund.

C. Bryan Johnson
Mr. Johnson is responsible for co-managing all aspects of client engagements, including coordinating financial and strategic buyer research, preparing selling and private placement memoranda, performing company valuations, and helping to structure and negotiate the transaction. Mr. Johnson markets the firm's clients to prospective buyers or investors and works closely with clients to help determine and negotiate the optimal deal structure and valuation to achieve the shareholders' objectives. Mr. Johnson has a strong background in financial analysis, private and public company valuations, and industry research, and has transaction experience across a number of industries, including manufacturing, consumer products and business services. Mr. Johnson has also published research and several articles for industry related publications. He earned his M.B.A. with a concentration in Finance from the College of William and Mary and holds a B.S. in Finance and a B.A. in Anthropology from the University of Central Florida. He is qualified as a Series 7 and Series 63 FINRA General Securities Representative.

William B. Kerkam, IV
Mr. Kerkam has over eight years of financial and merger & acquisition advisory experience and has managed a variety of transactions with privately-held, middle market companies since joining Matrix in the spring of 2002. These transactions primarily include sell-side and buy-side strategic advisory assignments and private placements of debt and equity. He maintains significant personal relationships with hundreds of both Mezzanine and Private Equity Sponsors. Prior to joining Matrix, Mr. Kerkam spent four years with BB&T Capital Markets providing merger and acquisition, investment banking services to Mid-Atlantic financial institutions, as well as issuing public equity for companies in the REIT and specialty finance industries. Previously, he worked in the Corporate Finance department at Davenport & Company LLC where he concentrated on private company valuations for gift, estate and other purposes. He serves on the Finance Committee for the Association for the Preservation of Virginia Antiquities, a not-for-profit that owns and preserves historic Virginia properties, including Historic Jamestowne. Mr. Kerkam is qualified as a Series 7 and Series 63 FINRA General Securities Representative and has achieved the Level II designation from the American Society of Appraisers. He holds an executive M.B.A from Virginia Commonwealth University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Virginia.
